The Kanata Lasers' offense had a big night, peppering the Pembroke Lumber Kings with 34 shots throughout the game. The Kanata Lasers took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Alex Gagnon and never looked back.
During the first period, Sleeth opened the scoring for Kanata with a goal at 7:55 with assists from his linemates, Ludwig and Smith. Gagnon quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:51 with helpers from his linemates, Case and Denomme.
In the third period, Arseneau finally put the Lumber Kings on the board with a goal at 3:28 with assists from his linemates, Collins and Mctavish. Van Tiem answered for Kanata with a goal at 18:42 with helpers from teammates Tourigny and Michel.
The Lasers’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Carriere’s big night as he stopped 42 of the 43 shots he faced. Carriere’s counterpart, Mctavish, also had a big night, managing to stop 0 of 0, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Kanata Lasers’ record to (7-6-0-0).
